10 of the most interesting voices of all time

I know that this list is eclectic, and I would not have it any other way. This list is designed to foster discussion and debate about the best voices. I have a few on here that may only be interesting to me. As always, the list is open for discussion. R.I.P Michael Jackson.

1) Michael Jackson - Beat out all other pop stars to represent Pop on this list. Jackson's entries for best voice include: Human Nature, Butterflies, and Thriller. Quality entries from a quality act.

2) Jose Jose - Represents the Latin portion of this list. I am putting him in because of the 1970 performance of the the song "El Triste." The judges on the OTI festival where Jose was representing Mexico went nuts, and were the first to stand for the ovations. I could have also submitted "Volcan, Gavilan o Paloma".

3) Luciano Pavarotti - narrowly beat out Andrea Bocelli for the Opera Portion of this list. I would take Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma from Turandot, or "Ah mes amis ... pour mon âme" from the Donzetti play "La Fille du Regiment." Bocelli has one submission that can compete "Con Ti Partiro," but should be monitored for the length and quality music production.

4) David Bowie - Gets on this list because his voice is wierd. "Rebel Rebel, China Girl, Dead Man Walking, all Bowie, but none sound remotely the same.

5) Peter Frampton - He gets on the list for the guitar-sound-through-the-tube-in-his-mouth stylings of "Frampton Comes Alive." Areosmith and the Gap Band owe much to him.

6) Robert Plant - He is onthe list for his work with Allison Krauss, and the songs "Black Dog, and Whole Lotta Love." The vocal solos are incredible.

7) Andy Bell - Makes the list because Rolando would kill me, and because I really like the vocal range of Piano Song, and Blues Away, also worthy, So the Story Goes and Heveanly Action."

8) Tom Petty - makes the list because he has a wierd talking/singing style that reminds me of Bob Dylan, and because I love the Heartbreakers.

9) The Lead Singer of Interpol - because i like Evil, and he reminds me of Joy Division.

10) Barry White - Because he was smooth, and because he was on the Simpsons singing about snakes.

Do not bother me and tell me there are no women on the list, they will get their OWN list coming up shortly.
