Cartoons

My friends, where have all the cartoons gone? Where are the transformers or smurfs? Why is it that all cartoons now are geared towards adults? Family Guy and The Simpsons qualify as cartoons, but they get offensive quite often, The Simpsons has not been good in a while, and Family Guy just pushes the envelope. Where is that good stuff that make you tune in to see crazy adventures? My favorite cartoons were harmless, and also very expensive for my parents. Ultimately, we can trace the economic downturn on bad cartoons. There were like 100 smurfs to get, and at 4 bucks a pop, that's 400 odd dollars going in to the pockets of store like Woolsworth, or Osco which would help them stay open. Look at the bigger movies recently, Batman, Iron Man, Hulk, etc, they are all based on comic books or cartoons. When the nation invests in children's entertainment, we all benefit.
