I feel a new sense of hope with the election just having passed yesterday. We got a young, hip dude in office, and the chance to get some monumental stuff done. The senate and house are all democratic, and will allow for a super-majority of democratic- influenced laws to be passed. This is good news to me, because I work in education. I will do what I can as a good American citizen working for a better tomorrow, and keep an eye on how things are unfolding today.
I write this today because on every station, they had people crying and whatnot. This was amazing to me. Even more amazing was the cold, harsh tones some people took with Democrats. "African Americans have no excuses anymore," was a common theme. Obama will make history either way. Best Democrats have to offer, or worst. For our sake, i just hope he does decently. Next minority on the clock, Hispanics. Buena Suerte !
